The film tells the story of Giorgos, a young guy from the province, studying and working in Athens. He lacks meaning, self-confidence, identity and acceptance.
He fills this vacuum by being «Red Hulk», his name at the ultras fan club of his football team until his involvement in an incident of racist violence which makes him confront new dead-ends, dilemmas and choices…
Red Hulk has already won the First Prize at Drama International Short Film Festival 2013 and the Best Greek Short Film of 2013 at the 19th Athens International Film Festival.
Jury of Drama International Short Film Festival, 2013:
«”Golden Dionysus”… goes to… “Red Hulk”… for its full realization of a key issue of Greek reality and its flawless cinematic attribution».
Jury of Athens International Film Festival, 2013:
«… an important and penetrating portrayal of the psychological routes, transitions and dead-ends
of the main character, as a man without qualities who drives himself into one of the darkest choices of modern Greece’s despair».
We wish to Red Hulk a(nother) great fight!
