While the 3rd altcineAction! is about to begin, we are proud to mention that Asimina Proedrou the winner of altcineAction! 2012 First award – for her short Facets of Loneliness – has travelled to many festivals with her latest film Red Hulk.
Red Hulk, which was carried out with the help of the production award of altcineAction!, tells the story of Giorgos, a young guy from the province, studying and working in Athens. He lacks meaning, self-confidence, identity and acceptance.
He fills this vacuum by being «Red Hulk», his name at the ultras fan club of his football team, until his involvement in an incident of racist violence which makes him confront new dead-ends, dilemmas and choices…
Here is Asimina Proedrou’s interview at altcine talking about this experience:
Red Hulk has already won the First Prize at Drama International Short Film Festival 2013 and the Best Greek Short Film of 2013 at the 19th Athens International Film Festival.
