Synopsis

The boy is watching a cartoon. Something behind the screen is watching him.

Director's statement

“Karlo” is short experimental film. It takes us into a dark room in the where a boy sits on a chair, focused and immersed in a moving picture cartoon on computer monitor. Meteoric cartoon scenes in it cause frequent, sudden and uncontrolled reaction. I make cuts with changing the angles and we see the boys reactions. I want to point the problem of tehnology, ideology and capitalism manipulations over children.

Director's short bio

Bruno Pavić, born in 1988 in Zagreb, made his first steps in the film industry as an active member of Kinoklub »Zagreb«. Currently he studies MA course of Film on the Arts Academy of Split.
